Description
On 10th September 1944, following a brief period of combat, the American troops freed Bastogne from an occupation that had lasted exactly four years and four months. This skirmish occurred on the rue de Neufchâteau, at the entrance to Bastogne, and one man was killed. A monument was erected in his memory and inaugurated the 12th June 1949.
